The 1-3-2-4 strategy is a way to limit your losses while taking into account slightly smaller but more frequent wins.

In this strategy, you need to increase your bet amount in a specific order.

As you can easily see, the name of this technique also tells you what the betting amounts should be.

The principle is quite simple: you start the game with 1 unit, increase it to 3 units, then decrease it to 2 units, and finally increase it again to 4 units.

So, just follow the order of the general rule:

  • If you win, place another bet in sequence
  • If you lose, go back to the beginning of the sequence
  • If you successfully complete the sequence and win, go back to the beginning and start again.

To further understand this system of winning at baccarat, take a look at the following practical example:

We start playing with 10 USD, this is our first bet. Notice that this strategy does not specify which betting option to use (player or banker), it only specifies the bet amount. But for the sake of this example, let’s say we bet on the banker.

If we lose the first round, our next bet is still £10. We keep placing the same bet until we start winning.

If we win the round, our next bet will be 30 USD. Then USD 20, then USD 40.

If we lose any of these rounds, we go back to the beginning and start again.

As you can see, this is a simple strategy that can be one of the easiest to use when playing live dealer baccarat.

On the other hand, you have to keep in mind that the positive effects of this strategy can be seen during a longer game, which in turn requires a large budget.

The Martingale System

The Martingale system involves doubling every losing bet until you record a win.

This means that any losses will be compensated from a single win, and the profit will be the same as the initial bet.

If you bet £10 on a dealer hand and lose, you should place another £20 bet on the same hand. But it doesn’t stop there.

This theory suggests that you should continue until you win. So, if your next £20 bet loses, you should double up to £40 on your next bet.

When you win, you take your winnings and go back to your original bet.

The main idea of the Martingale system is that the bettor will win the biggest bet of the cycle.

The system can be very effective in the long run. Despite this, it comes with some serious risks.

First of all, you must have a large bankroll, otherwise you will quickly run out of money before you achieve the much anticipated win.

Secondly, if you experience too many consecutive losses, doubling your bet can reach the table limit. This is certainly a huge problem because you won’t have the chance to double your bet once again.
